Who we are

At More Than a Prick, we know type 1 diabetes is... well, more than a prick. We're here to cut through the sugarcoating and get real about life with T1D. Yes, there are the daily injections (or pumps, or whatever your method is), but it's so much more than that. It's the constant calculations, the sleepless nights, the carb counting, the emotional rollercoaster, and the unwavering strength it takes to manage it all.

We're a community built by people who get it. We've lived it, we're living it, and we're here to share the highs, lows, and everything in between. We're not just about raising awareness; we're about fostering understanding, providing support, and injecting a bit of humor into a condition that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Why "More Than a Prick"?

Because let's be honest, the needle is just a tiny part of the story. We wanted a name that was memorable, a little edgy, and a conversation starter. We wanted to capture the frustration and resilience that comes with T1D, and to remind everyone that there's a whole world of experiences beyond the daily injections.
